The Annual Remembering Mom Luncheon Celebration is our organization’s signature event designed to provide a loving and supportive atmosphere for women to celebrate the memory of their mothers. We believe imitation is the best form of flattery, however, we respectfully request that individuals or organizations wishing to emulate the concept or activities, work with our organization by obtaining permission and authorization to create similar events in other cities. Future long-range plans are to expand the Remembering Mom Foundation’s services and possibly expand the concept to allow growth of the organization to serve a wider audience in other cities or countries.

We will be Celebrating Decades of Memories with our keynote speaker, Barbara Lord Watkins. Barbara is a consummate professional in the Dallas community. She is currently the President Emerita of the Parkland Foundation, previously serving as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Parkland Foundation. Barbara also served as the Senior Vice President for Public Affairs/Patient Services for the Parkland Health & Hospital System.

Barbara currently serves as Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees for Medical City Hospital. She is committed to serving the needs of others while currently serving on multiple boards and organizations, including the Texas Hospital Association, Crystal Charity Ball, the National African American Women’s Leadership Institute, The Charter 100 of Dallas, the Dallas Summit. Barbara is the wife of Dr. Myron Watkins, and is the proud mother of four adult children.  She is currently pursuing a Master of Theological Studies at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. 

Reception starts at 11:00 a.m.

Tickets are $50 each. With each ticket purchased, guests will have an opportunity to win our Grand Prize Drawing: A Weekend Getaway to the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, TX. (Sponsored by Esteem Hospice of Dallas, TX)
