Your motivation for serving as a Board member:
I've always had the motivation to help mother less daughters, primarily because of my own painful experience in losing my own mother. I find that grief is a process, and I can offer others support as they work through their grief experience. We are all walking in the same footsteps. As a Board member I have had opportunities to assist others in their grieving process by providing outreach services on the administrative side.

Current Employment: Recently retired from the Arlington Public Schools: 1972-2009 Pioneer of Color for the District; 1972 - Completing 37 years of service, plus 1 year with Dallas Public Schools
Accomplishments/Awards: Honored in 1991 as "Elementary Teacher Role Model" for Arlington ISD, Wrote the Black History Cirriculum for the District, Silver Star forthe Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority (41 years of service). Woman of the year by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority; XI THETA OMEGA CHAPTER 1997 of Arlington, Texas, and the 1st runner up of MISS BISHOP COLLEGE - 1968.
Family: Married to Clarence C. Davis, Jr. of Indianopolis, IN for 40 years (12/27/09); Mother of 2 adult sons, Clarence C. Davis III (C.C.) and Chad D. Davis, both college graduates.

Your motivation for serving as a Board member: My motivation while serving as a Board member for Remembering Mom was to give other women who have experienced Mother loss some encouragement and joy along the way and to build close, bonded relationships with women who are all in the same boat.
Education: Graduated from Wichita High School Southeast in Wichita, Kansas and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fashion Marketing and Advertising from Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS.
Current Employment: Senior Administrative Assistant, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Family: Married to a wonderful man, Les Dixon of 26 years, mother of 3 beautiful daughters - Brittany 25, son-in-law, Nick (married to Brittany) and a granddaughter Aianna, age 4 to the union of Nick and Brittany; Tiandrea (Tia) 21, and Kalyn, 14.

Motivation For Serving As A Board Member: To continue my Mom’s legacy of helping others, and to help other women overcome their Mother loss.

Motivation For Serving As A Board Member: A tribute to the memory of of my mother. My position on the board has also allowed me to have my daughter assist in the tribute of her grandmother as well.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Analysis from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Current Employment: Senior Project Manager/Southwest Airlines.
Accomplishments/Awards: North Texas Lead Candidate, Global Institute Leadership Development Alumnus, Strathmore's Who's Who, Dean's Honor's List, received numerous application development "project related" awards throughout her IT career.

Marisol Trevizo Chair of Diversity
Marisol Trevizo, owner and funeral director of Pilar Funeral Home, brings professionalism, commitment to excellence and a passion for providing personal and compassionate service to families. Ms. Trevizo has 8 years of experience in public service and holds a Bachelors Degree of Arts in Spanish, as well as a Masters Degree in Public Administration.
Ms. Trevizo is also a graduate of the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service with a Certificate in Funeral Directing and is fully licensed by the Texas Funeral Service Commission as a Funeral Director in the State of Texas. Ms. Trevizo has experience working in an independently owned and operated funeral home, as well as in a corporate environment.
